email reconciliation

Just upgraded my desktop manager to 4.7 and have a BB 8330 curve.  On desktop manager, I am unable to enable email reconciliation, box is greyed out.  I use both aol and ms outlook / gmail, not thru a corporate server.  When deleting msg on BB, it does not delete in emails and vice versa.  Any advice?

Also, is there a max # of emails you can have on your BB before it stops receiving emails?  Is it on BB or on your email itself, i.e. earthlink?  Thanks

Re: email reconciliation

If you're not using BES and using BIS then the Desktop Manager has nothing to do with email settings.  That's why you can't enable email reconciliation.  Deleting email on the BB will not affect your Outlook.  You can have the emails deleted on the server, though, if you have that setup, but it won't affect Outlook.

You can hold many many emails....thousands.  Device memory is the only limitation.

Re: email reconciliation

OK - so in other words, the ability to delete a message on BB and have it also be deleted in Outlook and vice versa, does not exist unless I am using BB enterprise?  As a non enterprise user, it is not available?

Also, my husbands BB stopped receiving messages on 11/21, having 548 messages showing in his BB.  How would we know if the device memory was full in the BB?

Thanks
