I had a similar error. The link below might help - it refers to a contact with the wrong syntax which might cause problems.
In the end I just did a re-sync instead of a synchronise and it fixed the prolem.

For those who would like a fix to this problem, I contacted Verizon Wireless, and that suggested that I reset the Blackberry Pearl 8130 by removing the battery and then putting the battery back in. I did as they suggested, and that seemingly has corrected the problem.

After talking to Verizon (my provider) I went into the configuration on the BB desktop settings and after checking all settings within the configuration tab, I then synched while having the config window open and performing a "synch now" and deselecting auto config, I was able to watch what the intellisynch performed and observe where the 0x8004fd28 was coming from. It seems as though there are conflicts within my Outlook address (vs. 2007) and the device. Although it prompted me to "accept or deny" the changes, there was still an error stating "there was a total of 1 record(s) during the synch process which was rooted in the address book and referring me to the synch record.
Another thread mentioned something about the addresses being corrupted. I think this is the root cause of the 0x8004fd28.
Some/most of my contacts/addresses came from my Yahoo contacts which have data that the intellisynch cannot recognize.
My suggestion is to go through your contacts to make sure the format is recognizable (no * or &, etc symbols) just text where ever possible
Hope this helps!

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Please try the following:
Have you tried to delete the Intellisync folder then setup the Synchronization options again?
First start with the Desktop Manager closed. On your computer navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\[user_name]\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry. Delete the Intellisync folder. Open the Desktop Manager and when you go under Synchronize to setup everything to sync make sure the Calendar is checked and try to sync
If you need more information, please ask!
If not, please resolve the post using the options by the kudos’ star.
Just check the post that had your answer!

This is the BB knowledgebase article on the problem. Try to implement this and see if the problem is resolved.
Please let me know!

Bifoocals is right on...
I had this problem and deleted the intellisync folder - then setup my synchronization options again. My desktop manager worked without a problem and FINALLY my calendar/contacts on my pearl match those on my computer.
Thanks Bifocals. Appreciate the help.
