failed to obtain ip address

my 9800 torch stopped conecting to wifi - even though I know the wifi is working. The error message is "failed to obtain IP address".  How can I fix that - anybody knows.   Thank you

Reset your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Do the same to your phone by removing the battery and reinserting.
