formatting of memory card

I have a memory card which cannot be formated....does the problem lie with my phone or the memory card....please help

Well, it depends.

Was there an error message presented? The exact and complete contents of that would help greatly.

Have you tried a different card?

Have you tried that card in a different device?

The answers and results from all of this will guide to the correct root problem.

the problem might be 80% with your memory card cause all the BB phones has the option of formatting the memory card.
