Re: guide to upgrading OS for new users?

installed WeatherBug last night but encountered problems this morning... was cut off from data connection, tried to reconnect but i couldn't... did a couple of batt pulls, but still didn't work... deleted WeatherBug and did a batt pull... it worked marlvelously! I wonder if it was really the WeatherBug that was causing it?

Re: guide to upgrading OS for new users?

I'm finding that every so often, apps just have issues.  I don't know why exactly, but... since I upgraded Viigo, it's been having some issues too.

Re: guide to upgrading OS for new users?

Hi,

Download the upgrade you want to run. Make sure you save it to known directory on your PC.

Execute the file which will correctly disperse it to the correctly directories for the desktop software

to read it. Delete the vendor.xml file it the device OS is not from your carrier.

Browse the application loader to the correct directory, and you should have the new installation.

Thanks,

Re: guide to upgrading OS for new users?

OK, I restarted BDM and was able to see the version I have... .65, .75, and then .103...

I told it to update it to .103... but then it said "No software update is required for your device"

any ideas?

Re: guide to upgrading OS for new users?

Hi,

You may want to reread the Sith apprentice Crackberry article.

He has apparently married three OS's to together to form .103.

This may have some affect.

More power to you, I wouldn't touch it with a TEN FOOT desktop manager.

I have no use for it, as my current version is quite satisfactory.

I just want you to get the best upgrade possible. Maybe the others can help.

Thanks,
