Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
Have you activated BlackBerry Data Plan on your account from your Carrier Verizon ! You need to have that in order to setup your personal email on your device .

How can I do this ? I m using Vodafone's blackberry plan and data services.
Sorry but on your profile you have listed Verizon as your Carrier. If you are using a Vodafone SIM then you should have BlackBerry Data Plan also known as BIS from Vodafone , So you mean you have that on your account ?

Am sorry for the confusion. Though I m using Vodafone SIM, I m not able to understand what role does Verizon play ? It's foreign made handset bought from Indiatimes....
If its Unlocked from verizon then Verizon has no role , As I asked do you have BIS from Vodafone. Because to enjoy email services we need BIS on our account.

What's BIS ? Can Verizon be contacted to unlock / register ?
BIS also Known as BlackBerry Data Plan which allow us to use many BlackBerry Services like Email services , BBM etc. which you can get from your SIM provider Vodafone , But that device must be an Unlocked one ,i;e if you brought it through Indiatimes then is it an Unlocked device that you brought ? Check this Article Unlocking your BlackBerry & Unlock Codes . If it locked to Verizon then your SIM provider cannot register your device on there network.
So when you brought it what they told you is it an unlocked device or a locked one ?

You will need to call Vodafone and ask them to enter the MEID and PIN of your device into their database.
Many users have reported that Verizon branded devices will no longer work on Indian carriers... but you will have to ask Vodafone for this.
