help me get around my IT department

I can't download onto my Blackberry but is there another way to get good stuff onto it?  I got external emails set up through the website which I'm pretty sure they didn't want us to do but oh well.  I really want a navigation app and a few games for when I'm stuck at the airport.  I tried to send a file to the bb via bluetooth but it said the receiving devie wasn't capable of handling it.  Can I upload to the SD card and transfer to the phone that way?  Or am I stuck with what I've got :-(

Re: help me get around my IT department

I am afraid you are stuck with the IT polcy. Even if you were to get an app on your media card, it would still have to be installed on the device, and that is where the IT policy resides. Typically this is a policy regarding security. Oh and see the new info under your other post before you go to the carrrier. Hope this helps!

Hello, What happens exactly when you try and download an application OTA (onver the air) with your Blackberry Browser ?
Do you have the feared "IT policy does not allow installing third party applications" ?
