help please! phone battery problem!


My blackberry torch 9800 has been off for 3 weeks because i went on holiday.

Since coming back i tried to get it to turn on (by pressing the red button) but nothing happened.

Ive put it on charge and when it first goes on charge it has a red light which stays on for about 15 seconds, it then goes to a screen with a white battery and a red cross through it.

Any ideas on how to get it to work please?

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

Is your BlackBerry Desktop Software able to connect with the device? If so, try backing up your BlackBerry using the BlackBerry Desktop Software and performing a clean reload of your device software. http://bbry.lv/bpv7DT

If it is unable to connect, you may need to start a software reload without the battery inserted then reinsert the battery after the software reload has started. http://bbry.lv/k9pwuZ
