hiding picures

How does one hide pictures on smartphones using the new operating system???

I  am unable to locate "hide" under properties.

Go to the Media folder. Hit the menu key and select "Explore." Then browse to the folder where the pictures are that you want to hide. Highlight the picture to hide, press menu, select properties, and select "Hidden." You have to go through the Explore menu and not through the standard pictures folder.
