Re: how to disable edge/gprs

Hi saqib44,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

What version of BlackBerry Device Software do you have? Here is how to check: "How to check the model number and version of installed BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone" http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB23393

Do you have a data plan from your mobile network provider?
In Manage Connections > Wi-Fi Network, is the Wi-Fi network you are using listed there and showing as connected when you select it?
Can you tell me which of the following connected icons you have listed under Wi-Fi connection option? http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2012/05/connection-icons-status-indicators/

I look forward to your response.
