how to wipe all content

I want to wipe all data on my blacklberry. I was with o2 in the UK and something is seriuously screwing with my phone. Is there a way of wiping it of all apps, software, setting etc and wiping back to factory reset? I follo9wed a guide online that involved using command prompt and it didnt delete apps or change my settings with o2 as such

Re: how to wipe all content

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

There are multiple methods...see this:

  • KB16307 Actions performed by the BlackBerry smartphone during the removal of stored user and application data

From what you describe, it sounds like you want the ResetToFactory method:

  • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory settings using BlackBerry Desktop Software

Good luck!

Re: how to wipe all content

try a secirity wipe first and wipe app, email and all data, hence resetting back to the default factory settings. You should only do a full OS wipe if need be but make sure you have desktop manager on a PC so you can re-load the operating system
