If you see no updates available to you via the on-device wireless update selection (which, BTW, I recommend AGAINST using), then your carrier has not released anything newer for your BB. Via most means, you are restricted to using only the OS packages sanctioned by your specific carrier. To use the "tricks" available to use an OS from another carrier (who, for example, may perhaps approve newer OS levels faster than your carrier), you must use the Desktop Software on PC (not even MAC).
