installing private key

I cannot upload my private key certificate to my Blackberry so that I can access the encrypted network we have on WiFi.

The error that I get is "Unable to extract the private key for certificate 'name'. This might be because the private key is stored on a smart card, or is not marked as exportable."

The private key is not stored on a smart card. It might not be marked as exportable, but how do I change that?

How do I go about fixing this?

I'm using the latest Desktop Manager and trying to load this on a BlackBerry Curve 8320.

Re: installing private key

when you create the PKCS12 file that contains your X.509 private key, you choose whether the key can be exported. It it is not, you can't export it.
=> with the tool that you used to create that file, create another one and check the option.

then proceed to install the key on your blackberry using for instance the Desktop Manager.
