is my phone dead?????

ok so ive had my curve for nearly a year now and last night it had a weird fit.i kept getting the clock thing in the middle of the screen so i took the battery out to reset it then it would turn on but the only buttons that would work were the ALT button, the cap button and numlock.the corresponding thing would come up in the right hand corner of the screen.it wouldnt connect to my WiFi either,so i took the battery out again to reset it and it loaded up with that same problem.i did this plenty of times but still the same result until,we put the battery back in one time, the little red light came on in the top right of the handset then went out as usual but the phone didn't load up.tried it with my partners battery out of her phone and it loaded up but still had the problems with none of the buttons working.i did download a new animated theme that morning.is there anyway i can fix it? have i killed it? it doesnt seem to connect to my laptop, just keeps saying its connecting.any help would be much appreciated.

Re: is my phone dead?????

1. Start the device in Safe Mode, and go to Options > Advanced > Applications and delete that theme.  Article ID: KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877

2. You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.
