issue with gmail set up

Hi,

 

I am facing issue with gmail set up actually i am getting a error message that my login id or password is wrong but i am using the correct id and password,i can loging in browser but facing problem while set up,so please help me out to fix this serious issue,

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

 

If you've got a mixture of different characters in your email address or password, you may perhaps have not noticed how you must enter those on the BB keyboard. For instance, if your password is

  • ab123

and you enter

  • a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3

the actual result will be

  • ab1er

You must enter

  • a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3

in order to wind up with ab123. So, in this example, while on the BB keyboard you think you are typing ab123, you are actually typing ab1er.

 

So please double check that you are not only pressing the proper keys, but also the proper characters are resulting as you configure your email account.


 

Alternatively, you can configure from your BB Browser by going to this URL:

A further alternative exists in that, if your carrier has one, using your PC/browser to configure into your carriers BIS website...sorry, but you have to ask your carrier if they have such a site for you to use.

 

Further still you can ring up your carrier and ask them to do it -- this involves risk, IMHO, in that you must reveal your email credentials to the person at your carrier that you have do this.
