loss of service

Hi My Blackberry torch 9810 keeps losing service and an x is displayed next to the signal icon by turning off and restarting a signal comes back straight away and may stay for several hours or onl;y a few minutes. very frustrating as it looks as if the phone is on and ready., many missed calls and angry people to deal with . Any thoughts?

Re: loss of service

The X is an indicator you're not in a good service or signal area for your mobile network.

Look at your Mobile Network > Network Technology choices. What are your settings there?

Re: loss of service

For the heck of it, can you try setting that to 2G only for a couple of days and see if the loss of service and X persists?
