<confirm> sends back dual response

Something has changed when sending an email with <confirm> in the subject line.

Previously a single reply would come back to the sender once delivered to the recipient device.

Recently that has changed and now TWO "Delivery Confirmations" are being returned, one from the recipients' device and a second from the sender's device.

For example, "Joe" sends a msgs with a <confirm> in an email to "Bob".

"Joe" gets back two delivery confirmations, one from the "Bob device" and another from the "Joe device".

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Any idea why this may be happening?

Thanks for your time.

Re: <confirm> sends back dual response

Hi wil_liam,

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Can you verify that the Read Receipts and Confirm Read settings on your BlackBerry are both disabled? http://bbry.lv/9jhAK5

Thanks

Re: <confirm> sends back dual response

hi Frankie.
Thanks for taking the time to address me and my issue.
This issue with the dual confirm response is happening to all the users on our BES.
Previously we all received a single response to the <confirm> subject line.
Users are questioning why this has changed.
On my device which is used for both BES and BIS email accounts my settings are as follows:
messages> options> email preferences>
send read receipts - NO (BES and BIS)
send delivery receipt - NO (on BIS, no selection option for "send delivery receipt" on BES/desktop email account)

Re: <confirm> sends back dual response

Hi wil_liam,

If this is happening to all users on the BES, I would advise contacting your server administrator to have this issue investigated as this is likely a setting on the server.

Thanks,

-FS
