memory card not reading

i recently got a bold 9700 but when i insert a memory card it's sayin that there is no media card in the device.. i have inserted two differnt memory cards and its the same thing.. can some please help me outt

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

With what you have tested so far, it's not looking good. But, to get a final test, you need to use those same media cards on a different yet identical BB device so as to firmly rule out the cards themselves as causal. If that works, then you've narrowed the problem down to a hardware issue with the card reader on your BB, requiring in-hand support from a qualified hardware technician. If you remain under warranty, then seek your assistance via that channel (either your mobile service provider, your original place of purchase, or an authorized service center -- it varies by region, so you need to check your original purchase documents to find out).

Otherwise -- do you happen to be on corporate/BES? I think that perhaps the BES admins could prevent the use of a media card. If this could apply, then talk to your BES admins.

thank you.. i inserted the same memory card in another BB (curve 8520) and there was no problem.. so i think its the hardware.. thank you one again.. Smiley Happy
