menu and esc keys issues

third day with the new torch 9850 and have had intermittent issues with the menu and escape key acting up.  basically, they stop working. few minutes later and its back to normal operation.

anybody else having these issues? any fixes? already checked and carrying latest version of OS

Hi ryan_22

 

Hold your menu key down to see how many applications are running in the background.  Try closing some of the applications if possible to see if this issue improves.

Thanks for responding.

Even if I close the apps, like say the browser, it still says its open. However, when the menu and esc key start acting screwy all I need to do is go to the phone menu then they start working again. Easy enough fix but happens periodically....

There are several applications that stay open, such as Messages, Browser, BBM, Phone and Home. 

 

What version of BlackBerry handheld software do you have installed?

sorry for the delay in my response...

 

Current version is 7.o bundle 1346 v7.0.0.261

 

When this issue occurs, the other two buttons and touch screen work fine.  Usually I need to go into the phone app and back out and then the BB Menu key and back/esc key start working again.  It's very frustrating...

Try a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.
