Hiya!

Do you know if there is a copy in your SIM phone book?

Address Book>Menu Key> SIM Phone Book. They in there?

Search your entire PC for the "*.ipd" (without the quote marks).

The backup files are normally saved to your My Documents folder.

See if you find them, you might even have an old one.

Re: missing all phone contacts after backup (via desktop manager)

hi - i did both! my contacts are definitely not on my sim card or my microsd card, and i did a *.ipd search and found an earlier backup file. I thought that would fix it, so I ran the restore and I;m still left with no phone contacts!! i dont know what to do...besides cry, any suggestions?

Re: missing all phone contacts after backup (via desktop manager)

WHOA, FIXED!!!! ok, so after playing with the phone for a while i noticed another issue - i had wayyyyy too many email contcts; as in every single yahoo contact had synced to my phone. so while googling that issue i went to phone book, options and typed rset which turned off wireless sync. then I re-restored (for the billionth time) and voila! no more extra email contacts and phone contacts are back.

Weird issue, and I wonder if this is normal?

is there a way to be warned before restoring that you should turn off your wireless sync (which i didn't even know was on)?

thanks blackberry forums! you solved my problem again!
