missing emails

I'm new to blackberry. I started using it just a few days ago. I got my email up and running no problems. Today(Friday) I noticed the emails from Wednesday and Thursday are missing. I didn't delete them. I'm getting them from a regular pop3 server. I still have the messages from Tuesday the day I started using the blackberry and today. Any idea what could of happened to these messages?

Thanks,

Re: missing emails

Look at Options > Status.

What is the full number at File Free?

Re: missing emails

6.7 MB free is low, and can cause deletion of SMS text messages, call logs, calendar entries and email messages, usually in that order.

I would recommend 12-15MB free.

Read this: http://www.blackberryforums.com/general-blackberry-discussion/116396-managing-your-bb-memory-lost-ca...

And this: http://www.blackberryforums.com/general-blackberry-discussion/112029-losing-call-logs-sms-emails-opt...

First thing? Remove the battery of your device, hold a minute, replace and reboot and check the File Free again. What is it now?

Re: missing emails

[ Edited ]

I removed my gmail account from it which I get alot of messages from but that didn't seem to do much. I've only added one app which was the facebok app. I don't really have  much else extra on it.  So i have no idea what could be taking up all that memory.

I'll check out those links thanks.

"SMS text messages, call logs, calendar entries and email messages, usually in that order."

Re: missing emails

Yes, I noticed you had said that, and combined with the low memory space, it is likely the reason.

Are you on a personal BIS account, or a corporate BES account? Are you deleting emails from your email server else where that might have reconciled those deletes to your BlackBerry?

Re: missing emails

Its through work but its set up as personal. We aren't running any blackberry services as I would know since I take care of all that.

Its simply email hosted at our webhost.

hmm I'm now thinking that when I download the messages via outlook using pop is why they are no longer available. I did notice the messages I have are receipts or sent from the blackberry. Still not sure why the mem would be that low.

Thanks.
