my BB unable to connect to the internet!

i just bought a blackberry bold and it not connecting to the internet. theres a message that says "unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. if the problem persists please contact your service provider." i did that but it didnt help. anyone know what to do?

Hi there!

I suggest the following steps:

1) Register HRT


  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > blackberry_logo.jpg (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now



2) Resend Service Books


  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service



3) Batt Pull Reboot


  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.


Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you indeed must go back to your service provider. If you are paying them for services that they are not delivering to you...well, need I say more?

Did you JUST tried it?

 

I have been using my phone fine for 2 months, and suddenly this morning, I cannot connect to internet, with the same message showing up.

 

I hard-reset, battery pulled, switched service book, blah blah, nothing. I called my service provider, and they had me do a wipe, nothing.

 

I now think this may be a weird network error?

Your carrier should be able to confirm or refute if there is a "weird network error" going on.

If you have pay as you go your credit must have ran out if your on contract call up your service provider
