my bb 9900 (white) not showing imei

Need help, when I try to check the imei/serial of my phone by typing *#06# my phone responds with "unsupported service". Is it that my phone is not genuine or something is just wrong with it. By the way I bought it 4 days ago.

What you describe sounds like it must be supported by your carrier in order to function...if they do not support it, then it does not work. But, that means nothing other than that key sequence is not carrier supported...it does not mean anything specific about your device. Instead, refer:

  • KB05026 How to locate the PIN, IMEI number, ESN, or MEID number on the BlackBerry smartphone

And is there any difference between the normal bb9900 with one hole/LED indicator and the one that has two, one hole similar and next to the LED indicator so called the Proximity sensor (something like a front camera) and the LED indicator itself. My bb9900 has two and I'm afraid it may not be a genuine bb phone. Please advice
