Try reinserting your battery and performing a "Register Now" in the Host Routing Table as shown here: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB00014
Test accessing BBM once again. If you continue to experience the same issue, please contact your mobile service provider to verify your data service plan is configured correctly.
