Hi and Welcome to the Community!
First, remove the app:
Next, make sure that your BB is running stable with no more errors. If it is OK, then try installing the app again.
If the error returns, then see if your BB OS needs updating.
Good luck and let us know!

Interesting...OK...then there must be something wrong that the installed Twitter app causes to happen, but does not affect other things. As such, I'd advice an OS reload...to prepare, refer to the link in my auto-sig on this post regarding backups...you will need a complete local backup of everything in order to proceed.
Once you have a backup, you can proceed with the OS reloading process.
Please refer to this official download portal as you proceed. It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
From a PC, you can install any compatible (e.g., for your exact BB Model Number) OS package to a BB via this procedure:
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. After installing the OS package to your PC, please remeber to delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try the "Bare Bones OS Reload Procedure" to attempt to narrow down the precise causal item:
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.
You may also need the use of these tricks:
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
Good luck and let us know!

I guess you're not hearing from thousands of others because the app is causing this issue only to some. Also, I haven't known about this forum until now, until I searched for some solution to my problem. And guess what, I have exactly the same problem as mrbladimir28. And we are definitely not alone. If you go have a look at the comments and reviews on Twitter from people in the App World you'll find lots of comments describing exactly the same problem we are having.
- the app is either missing (it doesn't show up in the list of applications when accessed from the 'options'), even though the App World says it has been installed, and yes, the phone has been rebooted.
- the app is missing in the list of applications but the icon is in a folder where I always keep it, BUT when I try to run Twitter, it gives me a java error (Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError to be exact).
All my applications are running just fine, no other problems - with or without Twitter installed. I have been happy until I upgraded Twitter to the 184.108.40.206 version. Then the problem started.
Now, even though I deleted the Twitter app and tried downloading an older version of the app (220.127.116.11) from third party sources (because what else was I supposed to do?) it didn't work. Even though the installation was completed, phone did its reboot, the app was nowhere to be found. Not in downloads, not in my usual folder, not in any folder, not in the application list. But when I tried downloading the new version (18.104.22.168) again, it said that I already have a Twitter installed (22.214.171.124) and it asked if I wanna rewrite it with the new version.
And for the record: I have BB Bold 9700, OS 5.
