My Carrier: Airtel

no Internet connection from my carrier/ phone tied to verizon.

I am using a Storm 9530 in zambia and my carrier network is airtel I am able to send and receive calls and texts but the problem is when i take it to airtel to pay up for internet service they told me my phone is tied to verizon network and hence cannot browse on theirs. please help me, the reason i bought this phone was to be able to browse and send and receive mail but it turns out i cant. what can i do?????
