no cached credentials. (Error id 40721)

Hi there,

I reset my blackberry torch back to factory settings and no i cannot get into App World, i am getting the error no cached credentials. (Error id 40721). My browser is working so i do have access to the internet via phone, can anyone help me please xx

Had the same problem for a week after appworld upgrade.


After going through pages of support tried this




1. Go to

Options then

Delete blackberry ID


2. Reset device


Go to Appworld

Highlight Myworld

Press Alt and press  R S T

if app world does not reset


3. Go to applications and delete Appworld


Remove SIMM and replace with any other SIMM


Log onto blackberry site.

Log on with Blackberry ID


Download any free software.

Appworld automatically updates.


Try it .

Worked for me.
