ok plese help me!

A while ago, I don't know what I was thinking but I deleted my BB messenger.  I lost my phone list, but the phone actually shows my numbers at times.  I went in and reinstalled everything (after I backed up the info), however now when I go to restore on my desktop manager, it won't let me select any of the icons...now i can't seem to restore my phone list in my contacts.  It should automatically begin the backup and restore process when I plug my phone into the computer but it isn't.....I am very frustrated.  If you know how to help, please do so, but use normal information (not a techy).  Thanks

Re: ok plese help me!

nanciburt,

Open your Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced.

Above the left hand window pane choose File > Open and navigate to and select your most recent backup *.ipd file and open it.

THEN, see if you can click on to highlight the BlackBerry Messenger database and then click the right pointing arrow in the middle to move that database to your device.

Good luck.

Re: ok plese help me!

hyypiam, go to options > Advanced > Applications, and delete the BlackBerry Messenger application from there.

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

Now, download  the same OS that is on your BlackBerry (Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx") and install that OS to your PC.

Open Desktop Manager, and Application Loader. Choose advanced and find BlackBerry Messenger in the list and CHECK it to load and complete the following prompts to finish.
