os grayed our

hi when i connect my curve 8520 to the desktop manager it shows the os as required , but it is grayed out

what does this mean please

Hello,

It means, well, that it is required, and you are not allowed to change anything about it. Hence, in the normal Windows methodology, the item is displayed, but displayed in gray to indicate that you have no control over it.
