Re: pearl 8220 OS upgrade?

Hello ash1080 and welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

The BlackBerry® Pearl™ 8220 smartphone is not compatible with BlackBerry 6.

You can check your mobile network providers download site by clicking here. You can download and install the latest version for update.

Thanks!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

What, exactly, were you wondering please? This is a rather old thread...so I'm not quite sure what you are looking for. Are you wanting to update your OS (as this thread is discussing)? If so, then that's controlled by your carrier...refer:

Otherwise, check your specific device capabilities against that which your carrier supports...if they are only compatible for 2G and not 3G, then you can do nothing better than 2G with this device. Simple as that...compatibility is compatibility...as well as incompatibility. An OS update cannot overcome a hardware incompatibility.

Good luck and let us know
