My Device: Bold 9900
My Carrier: Orange UK

possible problem with bluetooth on

i am on orange uk network and have a bold 9900 phone

i recently upgraded to the orange uk official release to get wifi calling.

I also have a skoda with factory bluetooth car kit (gsm iii) and previously had enabled the phone to pair with the car kit using sim access profile.

this has worked flawlessly for a few months with the previous 7.0 release OS. once upgraded it would not connect to the car using SAP, though i could get it to work via hands free profile.

after some experimenting i found that problem was wifi calling, which i had set to 'mobile network preferred'

once i set it to 'mobile network only' the connection to the car worked fine.

has anyone else experienced this??

i think when the sap mode is enabled the phone disables the internal gsm radio, the phone then tries to use wifi for calls this messes up the bluetooth access to the sim card.

is there any way to submit this as a bug report to RIM?
