problems with AIM service

I have an unlocked Blackberry Bold under tmobile service. I recently downloaded YIM, myspace, and AIM to my Blackberry. Both myspace and YIM work fine, however everytime i try to log on to AIM i get an error message, reading "service is not enabled for this handheld." Does anyone have any idea how as to how i can get my AIM app to work?

Re: problems with AIM service

You need to load the generic service books from Tmobile, as this application is enabled by Service Book.

Perhaps pushing the service books will do it.

1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.

2. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot

if still nothing...
3. resend your service books from your carrier BIS site.

Re: problems with AIM service

Honestly, AIM is horrible and you are finding out why.

Get JiveTalk for the BB. It costs for the initial applicatioon, but there is a free trial you can test. It rocks, and covers ALL of the instant messaging clients, from AIM to GTalk to Yahoo and others.
