"Add bluetooth device" does nothing

I have been struggling connecting my blackberry via bluetooth for a while. Vista Business 32 bit SP 2.

In blackberry desktop manager when I click "add a bluetooth device" nothing happens. I have tried a clean install of bb Desktop software, but that did not help.

If I click Desktop Options-> Bluetooth connections and click "manage bluetooth connections" nothing happens.

I have tried 2 different USB bluetooth peripherals. In control panel, under my bluetooth device proporties, if I click on hardware I have the following listed

For one is : Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Generic Bluetooth Device

For the other: Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR USB device

Please help.

Re: "Add bluetooth device" does nothing

I uninstalled the broadcomm driver. So now both bluetooth devices use the "generic adapter" drivers.

Still no joy.
