"My Number" wont change, stuck on old number

Hello!

I just got a Perl 8220 with a new number, and my wife is using my old phone and number. Under SIM options, I changed "My Number" to be my new number. However, when I call her number (my old number) it goes to my voicemail instead, and even though it says her number, in the top left corner it says "My Number" and shows my new number.

I would really like to be able to call my wife, so any help or suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks!
