when I connect my blackberry Torch 9800 to my computer in order to download the app, i receive a message from blackberry world saying "blackberry radio is turned off, please turn it on..."
My radio IS turned on. I tried a few times and still that same message.
here's what I think may be the problem: I am no longer with the carrier I bought it from (telus) I am now with chatr but when I log in to blackberry world the carrier name that appears at the up-right corner of the screen says telus and the phone registered is a blackberry 9300. also I am unable to change to the phone I am currently using.
How can I fix this problem?

If that option is no where to find I suggest that you upgrade your software version. They include bug fix for all software update. Make sure to back up all your data first before updating your software.

i downloaded the desktop software and my blackberry torch 9800 now has the latest version. I still get the same message when I try to connect the phone to the appworld site and still do not see the network or blackberry option under date/time in options.
Btw, the fact that I am no longer with the iniatial carrier may that play a role?

It can be because BlackBerry app world needs mobile data to function. If you have time check with your service provider if using BlackBerry app world is covered in your plan.
