random power off

my blackberry bold 9700 will randomly power down.  the only method for me to return power is to remove the battery and reinstall it.  can anyone help?

thnx.  attempted to upgrade software for my Bold9700 but all attempts state i have current version 5.0 while i see that more current versions exist.  is 5.0 truly current for my phone?  next step will be to do a total reload.

The version available will depend on what your mobile service provider has posted for that device model.

 

We suggest that you backup a clean reload of the latest one available.
