I am receiving these messages frequently--a dozen or more today. The body says
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server. (and then several lines of code)
I've had my Curve for a few weeks and just began getting these messages yesterday. I don't know if it's connected, but it followed an unsuccessful effort to synch my Curve with my home computer.
Solved! Go to Solution.

This email is the activation email for the Enterprise version of the BB.
If you dont have a BES then you've installed the Desktop manager software incorrectly.
Uninstall the Desktop manager and reinstal it as Blackberry Individual Solution.
Then nplug the handset in.
No more ETP emails!

Thanks, but I tried to both modify it and then I uninstalled the Blackberry software and chose the BIS option, but I'm still getting these RIM emails. I just did it a couple of hours ago and have gotten about 5 email since then. Is there something else doing it?

Delete the service books. Just go into options, then service books and delete each service book individually. Then go into your BIS account and resend your service books. OR go to options, advanced options and then host routing table and press menu button, then press register now. If you do not know your username and pw for BIS call rogers tech support.

Thanks. I opened my BB Desktop Mgr. (it says Disabled) and pulled down the Options menu, but didn't see either any Service Books or Advanced Options. Am I in the wrong place?
