recently taking forever to load

a few weeks ago, my bb storm started taking forever to load anything.  not only the internet, but also texts, calling, unlocking, etc.  it has gotten to the point where it will not load at all most times and I just give up on whatever I was going to do in the first place.

it is barely functional, and completely frustrating. 

any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

oh, and I have tried closing all extra programs, it doesn't help. 

and I keep getting a message that says that the memory for my applications is low and I need to delete one.  but I literally only have two apps, how can that be?

It will help tremendously to know which Storm device model (there are four) you have, and the operating system release loaded.


Look at Options > About, third line down beginning with a "v.4.xxx"

I'd recommend an upgrade to OS 5.0.0.419

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion.

1. Download the OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Mine is downloading a theme but it has been downloading it for roughly 23 hours now. I can use everything else on my phone except for app world. All it says is 'please wait'

I think I'd cancel that download about now.
