required service not implemented

Hi everybody,

I have recently changed my phone service provider and although I can send/receive phone calls, it is no longer possible to send/receive text messages. I just get the following message "required service not implemented".

Another point is although I am sure that I have a Blackberry Bold, I am not absolutely sure it is model 9700 - (where can I be sure ?) - The same with the operating system !

Hi Barcus and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!

 

Have you contacted your wireless provider regarding this? Your provider enables and disables services, thus, you will have to contact them to have the SMS service enabled.
