ring tones

im tryin to figure out y when i set a specific ringtone for one contact im still getting the original ringtone for all my contacts.

Because you set a specific ringtone for one contact, and you have not done done so for other other contacts, therefore the one gets a specific ringtone and all others get whatever your "generic" setting is.

Ok, but I'm still not hearing the ringtone I set for that one contact. What I want to know is how to set a ringtone for specific contacts. Is there something I need to change so I done get the generic ringtone for all my contacts even after I give the there own ringtone? Maybe I'm not explaining myself properly.

If your contact has a caller ID block on his/her phone your phone will not recognize them and therefore not play the identifying ringtone.
