screen dimming

Very frustrated. Reinstalled os, battery pull, and uninstalled some apps. Still even though I have it unchecked to dim automatically it still makes the screen dim in lower light or even shuts off while I'm typing. Why! Ready to drop bb for android or iphone. Any help would be appreciated.

To clarify, even when you are trying on your device, the screen will black out? 

 

If so, and you have done the clean application reload as shown in KB11320 How to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows (or KB19915 Perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software on a Mac computer) it would be advised you contact your point of sale to investigate this matter further.

Hello, my playbook recently has similar problem. I set my playbook No Auto Dim, and set it to stay in its brightest. It can suddenly goes dim by itself no matter what you are doing with it. Sometimes I shaked it a bit and it bright up again. But after a while, it dim again. I opened up the back cover, and pushed the screen connection flat cable but won't help. 

 

When the back cover removed, I found if I lightly press the mother borad around the Screen Cable area, will make it bright up immediately. But when I removed my figure, pressure is gone, screen goes dim immedately.

 

Anyone has same problem? and how to solve this problem? Appreciate someone can help.
