security

I have a BB bold 9930 and it ask me to enter a password everytime I open it. Can I change this feature and if so how? It was previously owned where that was needed but I do not like it.

Thanks for any help.

Yes.  Go to options, security, passsword and uncheck the enable box.

Re: security

It will not let me uncheck that box or change the minutes to when it locks.

Re: security

This was previously owned by a company that had high security and they had an auto sync so all info auto updated when in their office. Will that cause a problem that you know of when I try to synce it on my laptop. They updated to iphones so my daughter got this for me from them. They wiped it first. I have not yet tried to sync it yet.

Re: security

Gotcha.  This has happened to me before.

Go to http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB14202&sliceId=2&cmd=displayKC&d...

and see method 4

Re: security

It needed to be diconnected from the previous IT service which also  meant a wipe first. Thanks for the BB backup advice which I used and it restores just fine. I appreciate the help

Re: security

FYI I also had to get more help in person. He may have used what you advised, I just could not do it myself. . Someone told me it would take a week to get my BB up and  running and it is coming true.'

Thanks again
