service book for MMS

Hi there,

I bought an BB 8100 on spain (Vodafone) but I use it on Portugal (TMN). I need to use MMS so I enabled the MMS service on operator.  Always I try to send a MMS I get the message that I don't have service book configurated. Where I can get the aproprieted service book file to install?

Thanks.

JCampos

Hi and Welcome to the forums!

You should probably re-contact your carrier -- they can push the service book out to you.

Cheers!

They say me that I need a data plan.... This is true?

I will not dispute what your carrier tells you. If they say you need a data plan, then you do.

Re: service book for MMS

Thanks for reply.

I understand your point of view. it's just because my older mobile phone, they didn't need any data plan for sending MMS... If BB needs will I change my phone brand for another one Smiley Sad

Re: service book for MMS

Interesting. Then I think you have a credible argument to raise with your carrier...make them explain why, for this function (which, btw, is not a BB-specific function...rather, it is a carrier-specific function), they require you to have a data plan.

I wish you good luck!
