Hi can anyone assist in how to install skype on my curve?

There is no skype app for the Blackberry handsets unless you are on a few networks such as Verizon or Three UK.

To add with jamead1981, you can sue 3rd party apps like IM+ Talk to have Skype in your phone. But that is a paid app.

Check the below link to find the details of IM+Talk. At present the app is priced USD 9.99. You can get by scanning the QR code at the bottom or giving a search in the App World.
