sound quality & alert tones

my blackberry storm 9500 series 5.0 is working perfectly fine until this morning. i cant hear my msg alert tone, and tried to reset it and its the same thing nothing happened. i tried listening to my media player to and the sound just keep on cutting off. the sound quality is not really the same, sounds garbled and same as my alert tones its keeps on cutting off. is there anything i can do with it? if theres none is there a certifed blackberry technician in south california?

Welcome to the forums. 

 

In this case we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry® smartphone to make sure it is running the latest version and there are no issues with the OS.

Once you have backed up your BlackBerry smartphone please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone software.
