sounds profiles

How can i set my torch so that when i put the phone profile on silent or vibrate only the personal contact profiles also go to silent/vibrate only?

Please explain, you want only the personal contact profiles to go to silent or vibrate?

Is there something you're wanting to leave audible while you've set the device to silent?

no i want the whole phone silent as i cna't have it going off in meetings, and obviously the one's with personal profiles are those most likely to contact me so it makes the whole 'silent' thing a bit redundant.

So, putting the device on Silent or Vibrate does not silence all of your contacts?

Right.

 

Putting my phone on 'silent' or 'vibrate only' works for all incoming calls/messages APART from where the sender has a 'personal profile' on my phone.

 

Having googled the problem is seems that this is a given, however, the solution I found does not work for the torch as the option the blog said to turn off does not exist on the personal profile settings.

 

Does this make sense now?

So you have exceptions made for those contacts which are overiding the device profile.

 

You basically want to UNDO what you've setup... per this KB article.
