stolen bb

Hi, can anybody tell me how do I trace a stolen blackberry? The phone is still active, after I blocked it with my network.

Hi teaboy, is there not another way, because it doesn't want to go in on my user id, can't I use that phone's bb pin?

Re: stolen bb

Hi there

Sorry to interject but why you are unable to login BlackBerry Protect , are you getting any error ?You have to use your BBID , entering your device PIN will not work.

If your lost device is still active then its not properly Blocked by your Carrier , a Blocked or Blacklisted device can't use any proprietary BlackBerry Data Service . So please call your Carrier again to make sure that your device is properly Blocked or Blacklisted.

Also if  the thief is clever enough and if he remove the original SIM then you can't locate  via BlackBerry Protect . So the only solution to your problem is to Contact your Carrier to Block the Device PIN or IMEI  to make that device useless.

Good luck.
