storm2 stubborn contact

I have a problem with one contact which refuses to be removed or edited a message appears contact updated externally I know where it came from but even the other phone cannot seem tonalter it I could probably live with it but this one contact us preventing my voice command system to fail. I try voice which starts and shows a screen scanning contacts then stops at 4% which is logical As the offending contact us B. A wipe is not a viable option if I cannot resolve the contact issue at least I would like my voice system back

Hello redheadp,

 

You can clear out the Address Book data base only without having to do a full wipe.

 

Back up your BlackBerry and follow KB10167 to clear the Address Book and Address Book - All databases

 

All the contacts should then be erased off your BlackBerry.

 

If you synchronized with a desktop application like Outlook or using BIS with Gmail or Yahoo, you can re-sync to add them back.
