tell me the truth"

Can anyone truthfully tell me if installing the blackberry desktop manager for mac will make my life better than it has been with pocket mac?

I have a MBP17" running 10.6

Entourage 2008

need to sync:

that's it, nothing too complicated? nothing too much to ask for?  its always been very glitchy in pocketmac!

even to the point where I get dupe notes and even tel numbers being swapped for another contact!  YES, can you believe it.

so this is why I am looking at this "blackberry desktop manager" as my saviour!

Re: tell me the truth"

The problem, imo is that both BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac and Missing Sync for BlackBerry have to sync to Entourage through Apple's Sync Services.

Now whether the problem is Entourage's implemenation of Sync Services support remains to be seen, but after some research, it seems like it:

The main thing is that these programs don't sync directly to Entourage. The old PocketMac did sync direct, but there were so many problems with that software, I would definitely stay away from it.

Until, BDM or Missing Sync syncs directly to Entourage, or a new Entourage (Office 2011) comes out and works better, syncing to Entourage from a BlackBerry is problematic at best.

I now have a 9700 sitting on my desk and I really don't know what to do.

I have also heard that a new pocketmac is out.

have anyone used it in context to Entourage?
