thin black lines across the screen Bold 9900

HI, I noticed one thin black line yesterday on top of the screen, (from left to right crossing the telecom provider). Then this morning, I noticed another one appeared just below the first one. Are they considered dead pixels? if so, lcd replacement is the only remedy? And what causes dead pixels?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

HI, thank you for the reply. I did what you suggested, and the thin black lines still appear.  I guess it's a hardware problem and not much on the software (just my wild guess).

Yes it is likely hardware. If you still have warranty, you should take it in for evaluation.
